Our Story
Founded with a passion for growth—both personal and professional—and a commitment to excellence in orthodontic care, Heartwise was born out of the desire to revolutionize the way orthodontic practices and their teams operate. Our journey began when Lindsay, a seasoned orthodontic professional with over 22 years of experience, recognized a gap in the industry for comprehensive consulting services that also incorporated heart and wisdom. With a vision to bridge this gap, Lindsay assembled a team of experts dedicated to helping orthodontic practices thrive.

Lindsay Quinn - Founder
Lindsay brings 22 years of industry experience and a passion for personal development to her professional work. After first establishing herself in general dentistry, she joined Dr. Richard McLaughlin's respected orthodontic practice in San Diego for 8 years, gaining valuable insights from one of the industry's leading orthodontists. In 2018, she joined the team at Hummingbird Associates and began her consulting career.
What sets Lindsay apart is her individualized approach to consulting. She recognizes that each practice has its own distinct character and potential, allowing her to create customized strategies that align with each team's specific strengths and goals. This personalized methodology enables the practices she works with to develop authentically and achieve sustainable improvement in their operations and patient care.
Fun Facts From Lindsay:
I started as a sterilization tech in a general practice!
I spent nearly seven years with Hummingbird Associates, learning from Karen Moawad, one of the most brilliant consultants in the orthodontic industry.
I spent 4 years as a Wellness Instructor and Massage Therapist for an adventure-based cruise company in Hawaii, Alaska, and the Sea of Cortez! (Oh yeah, I almost met my husband on the boat—he's still a captain.
I'm a trained Debra Silverman Astrologer, Breathwork Facilitator, and Reiki Master.
I have a 2-year-old son who is my brightest light!
I live on a compound! Okay, not exactly, but I do live next door to my sister and her family and my parents. It truly does take a village to raise a family, and I am fortunate enough to have one!
Courtney Gutierrez
Courtney grew up in a dental office, providing her with a unique perspective from an early age. She helped digitize her family practice, earned her bachelor's in dental hygiene, and developed expertise across multiple roles—from clinical care to practice management. This comprehensive background now informs her work as a consultant with Heartwise Collective, where she helps orthodontic practices optimize their operations and enhance patient experiences.
What distinguishes Courtney's approach is her continued connection to clinical practice, working as a hygienist two days each week. This ongoing hands-on experience ensures she remains familiar with the daily challenges dental teams face. Her consulting guidance is rooted in practical, tested solutions drawn from real-world dental office experience, making her recommendations both relevant and immediately applicable.
Fun Facts From Courtney:
At 21, I traveled to India with a interdisciplinary dental team—learned that pushing limits leads to amazing achievements!
I built our home during the 2020 pandemic as my own general contractor—finished in just 7 months!
My firefighter husband and our two girls (ages 4 & 6) are my greatest sources of joy and inspiration.
I’m all about cooking (but not baking), planning, and checking off to-do lists.
I'm an animal lover at heart—currently have 3 dogs and 5 chickens!
My soul is happiest outdoors—whether hiking, walking, or just watching my kids play in the grass.
Alison Centanni
Alison Centanni brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, executive management and dental and orthodontic consulting. She Blends a passion for organizational systems and enabling technology with a talent for leadership development. She started her career marketing for one dental practice, quickly growing into a marketing trainer, and then Regional Manager overseeing the marketing for 70 practices. From there, Alison moved into a leadership role at MB2 Dental Solutions as Director of Strategic Development, where she refined her expertise in creating efficient processes and empowering leaders to take charge. Alison moved on to lead a multi-location private practice as Executive Director for 7 years.
Today, Alison continues to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for an orthodontic office she’s been working with for over 8 years. She loves bringing her knowledge of multi-practice management to private practices, helping them streamline operations and build strong marketing strategies. She’s driven by the challenge of creating systems that not only improve efficiency but also foster a culture of growth and ownership.
Fun Facts From Alison:
My husband, Jason Centanni, is a winemaker in Texas!
I have two boys and enjoy spending time with my family at the vineyard and garden.
I serve as a board member for the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch, which provides homes for children in need.
I’m a past President of my local Women's Club and an active member of the Head Start Health Advisory.
I love running in my free time!
Our magic lies in a blend of heart-centered wisdom, a love for systems, and a focus on implementation.
